Educational, challenging and fun from age 6  up, the Beginner’s version of HyperJotto provides the most information with each guess. Not only are you told exactly which letters are in common between your guess and the hidden word, but also exactly where in the word the letters are.

Notice that your guesses do not have to include the letters you already know — often you can find out more by using words with completely different letters.

Notice also that the answer on the facing page has 2 T’s, yet when we guessed STUFF we were only shown one. That’s because STUFF has only one T.

It’s a good idea to start with a word that has a selection of vowels, because most words have at least one.
